About #Mission13

Dear friends,

Its been quite a while that we have not attempted for our missions. Keeping this in mind and getting to know about a disabled care center at Bungamati, Lalitpur, few of our friends had a preliminary survey of Disabled Service Association (DSA) last tuesday. Mr. Dayaram Ji, a local teacher at the nearby school thought of establishing a care home for the differently-able children collected from across the country and teach them to add up light to their future, thus ended up establishing this boarding home.

A total of 40 physically challenged but differently able children reside under the shades of Mr. Dayaram. He said, children are brought to the care home from various districts including Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Dhading, Nuwakot, Kavre, Sindhupalchowk, Gorkha, Rolpa, Humla, Solukhumbu and more. Children are brought up there either by their parents or the government agencies including police found helpless around the country. He takes great care of them, feed them and teach them whatever possible according to the skills they have. For this, Dayaram learned Braille to teach the visually impaired students, became a music teacher to those who had a deep interest in music and learned sign languages to teach the deaf ones. He is a man of surprises and a teacher from heaven, overall a great man with a divine heart.

Mr. Dayaram Ji, Chairman DSA

Upon our questions of what he wanted, he asked for a braille typewriter, which is almost impossible to get one in Nepal. This must be imported from foreign countries, he explained. He also asked us to get a harmonium to teach the children interested in music. Besides, he also asked us to donate the best help to him, this was to type the curriculum books of the students to make it a soft copy so that he could print them into Braille by a Braille printer donated to them by some donors. Also, he is now up to the construction of a New disabled friendly home for the children in a nearby land, for which he is in need of building materials, whatever would be accessible. Likewise, we can also donate them daily rason including the grains.

This is it friends. We would like to ask you all to extend your helping hands to support them, however possible. We have the collected funds remaining from previous missions and some collected from earlier charity show. Our well wishers have been donating us some money in our account too. We will shortly manage a time to conduct the mission and let you know. Until then, if you have any queries, feel free to ask our friends @ishzz @anantabrt @fluctuating and @friendycalls
